Using Autodesk Fusion for Woodworking. Taught by Brad Tillis.

Have you ever wanted to design your woodworking projects as
a 3D design before cutting your expensive pieces of wood? In this class Brad Tallis will walk you through the whole design process from concept to manufacture using Autodesk Fusion. Brad has over 35+ years of CAD experience, with the last 9 years working at Autodesk on the Fusion team. Most recently, he has started his own Fusion training and consulting business, CadEd llc.
Mortise-and-Tenon Joints: A One-Day Fundamental Skills Course. Taught by Steven McLoon.
DATE & TIME: Saturday, June 20, 9am – 5pm
Mortise-and-tenon joints are the most important type of joint used for making wooden furniture. Understanding this joint is an essential skill for any woodworker. In this class, you will first make mortise-and-tenon joints with hand tools. You then will make these joints using common woodworking machinery including a table saw, bandsaw, drill press and router. Finally you will make these joints using specialized machinery including a multi-router, hollow chisel mortiser, Leigh FMT and Festool Domino. No matter how your shop is set up, it is useful to know multiple ways to make this joint.
FEES (Materials Included):
Guild Members: $150
Non-members – $195 (class fee of $150 and Guild membership of $45)

Members of the Minnesota Woodworkers Guild are bound together by three goals:

About: Steven began woodworking in 2007 when he attended a class at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine. Since then he has taken numerous classes and began teaching classes, lecturing, and giving demonstrations in 2011. Steven’s work has been honored with awards by our Guild, appeared in Fine Woodworking, and selected for juried exhibitions.

Date: February 11, February 25, and March 11 (Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8:30) plus a 30 minute intro on our Guild YouTube channel
Cost: $120 for Guild members
About: Dave Richards has been a SketchUp user and teacher for more than 15 years. He produces 3D models for Fine Woodworking projects and is the author of Taunton Press’ SketchUp Guide for Woodworkers.
This course provides an overview of SketchUp and specific functions. Participants will work through designing a shaker table with a dovetailed drawer, and make use of Q&A segments where they can email questions outside of class time.
