Welcome to the Minnesota Woodworker’s Guild email group hosted by Groups.io, a free, easy-to-use email group service. Please take a moment to review these details:
- You must be a current Guild member to use this service. If your membership lapses, your access will be removed. After you request access, your membership status is first verified before access is granted.
- The email address for this group is: mnwwg@groups.io. Our system allows for participants to post via the web or email. You can use this email address to post new topics.
- Please add this email address to your Safe Sender list in your email Contacts.
- Once you have set up your groups.io account, you can opt to receive: all messages in individual emails, collections of messages in a digest, a daily summary, or only special notices.
Selling and Buying:
Please use the Classifieds section of the Guild’s website to post offers to sell or buy woodworking-related items and services instead of the groups.io list. For those members not involved in a transaction, the back-and-forth email exchanges when a sale is being negotiated cause considerable inconvenience for our members. The Classified section of the website is self-service and free and unlike email, your postings can remain for up to a full month.
Proper use:
The official groups.io user policy states that users agree not to use the service to post any content that:
- Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, excessively violent, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable; or
- In the sole judgment of Groups.io, is objectionable or which restricts or inhibits any other person from using or enjoying the Service, or which may expose Groups.io or its users to any harm or liability of any type.
In short, please be respectful of your fellow Guild members when using the service. I the above guidelines are not followed the co-moderators may limit your access temporarily or permanently.
