Learn Fusion for Great Results

Fusion 360 is a valuable resource for planning your next project. The Guild is offering three online 2-hour sessions on April 11, 18 and 25th from 9:00am till noon. Learn basic operation and utility for woodworkers. The instructor, Brad Tillis, has over 9 years experience working at Autodesk with the Fusion Team (i.e. He knows his stuff!). Total cost is $180.

Tuition Grant Applications now being accepted!

Have you wanted to learn a new skill but have held back due to the cost of classes? Now is your chance to have that wish made real through the Guild’s Tuition Grant program. Grants for tuition up to a maximum of $1000 are offered for members to attend a woodworking class, workshop, or apprenticeship at a recognized school, or with a recognized master. Applications are accepted up to May 30, 2026. Go for it!

Northern Woods Show – Pedestal Exchange

The Northern Woods Exhibition is coming up fast: April 23-26! It’s a great time to share your latest success, displayed on a well built pedestal. Since many former exhibitors have pedestals from past projects, this year we are setting up a sheet that will allow members to post information for sharing or exchanging pedestals. The link below is to a public sheet where you can fill in information if you have a pedestal to lend or need to borrow one and then contact a fellow member.

Northern Woods – Call for Volunteers

The Northern Woods Exhibition is coming up (April 23 – 26) and is shaping up to be another great show. As always, there are a lot of tasks to cover, such as setting up, greeting visitors and staffing our information table. In other words … WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! You don’t have to have a piece in the show to help out.

About Minnesota Woodworkers

The Minnesota Woodworkers Guild is a not for profit, volunteer led group of professional and amateur woodworkers bound together by three goals:

to advocate high standards in our craft
to meet new friends and discuss woodworking
to educate ourselves and the public about woodworking

The Guild hosts monthly educational meetings, offers educational classes, the Woodworkers Expo and the Northern Woods Show, an exhibition of fine woodworking. We welcome membership by all woodworkers, regardless of what they build, their level of skill, style of work, or their profession.

Our goal is to encourage the highest standards in woodworking, while allowing each of our members to grow at their own pace, from whatever level of skill and accomplishment they begin with.

Simply put, we want each of our members to become the best woodworker they are capable of, and to enjoy telling their Guild friends about it along the way.
