Complete 7-Piece Clifton Bench Plane Collection – Original Boxes
I'm selling a complete collection of seven Clifton bench planes, including every size in their traditional bench plane lineup:
- No. 3 – Smoothing Plane
- No. 4 – Smoothing Plane
- No. 4½ – Wide Smoothing Plane
- No. 5 – Jack Plane
- No. 5½ – Wide Jack Plane
- No. 6 – Fore Plane
- No. 7 – Jointer Plane
All seven planes have their original boxes and appear to be in excellent, unused condition. Several boxes still had their original manufacturer's tape intact, which I had to cut to take pictures. The original green protective material is also still present on the metal components.
Based on the British Racing Green finish, I believe these are pre-2014 production, although I haven't confirmed their exact age.
From what I've been able to find online, current retail prices for comparable Clifton planes are approximately:
No. 3 – $435 | No. 4 – $435 | No. 4½ – $440
No. 5 – $465 | No. 5½ – $470 | No. 6 – $470 | No. 7 – $540
Total estimated retail value: $3,255 (before tax).
I'm asking $3,000 for the complete seven-plane collection.
I'd prefer to sell all seven together rather than separate them. This is an opportunity to acquire the entire traditional Clifton bench plane lineup in matching finishes, with original boxes and what appears to be very little, if any, use.
The website only allows me to post three pictures, but I have individual photographs of all seven planes and would be happy to send additional pictures upon request.
